Battery Designer at Blue Raven Solar
**Position Type:** Full Time, 20-30/hr **Location:** Orem, UT **Job Level:** Mid Level **Shift:** Full Time

Position Summary:
The Battery Designer is responsible for serving as a technical product support for Battery Energy Storage and PV inverter systems. This person is responsible for analyzing and developing system designs based on expert knowledge, jurisdiction requirements, and known solutions. The Battery Designer is part of the Design and Battery Storage teams and must effectively communicate with sales representatives, corporate employees, and field technicians to ensure accurate solar and storage installation.
Essential Duties:
- Design PV inverter systems with battery storage solutions using multiple programs and software such as Aurora, Excel, SiteCapture, and AutoCAD.
- Create permit applications for submission in different jurisdictions.
- Answer advanced technical questions regarding PV systems with or without storage components.
- Make informed decisions regarding same day and immediate installation changes, layouts, interconnections, etc. that follow Blue Raven's values to support the field in completing installations.
- Identify the root cause of common issues in the field and problem solve to prevent reoccurrence.
- Build processes, systems, and people to support the design and installation capacity growth for storage systems.

- Successful track record of continued professional growth.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new computer and technical programs quickly.

- Communicate effectively, professionally, and kindly with people of varied backgrounds and ability levels.
- Be resilient when faced with challenges.
- Experience using AutoCAD Software.
- 95% attendance and schedule adherence - request time off in advance, does not miss excessive work due to sick/personal days.
Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel should be expected with this role as well.
