**Role Summary:** Do you want to help us transform the world of nutrition and reach one billion people? At ProVeg, we work every day to help people around the world eat more plant-based food. We do this, among other things, with the Veggie Challenge app that is fully managed by our team in the Netherlands. Every sprint at ProVeg is a new opportunity to innovate. We develop A/B tests to discover which meal plans resonate best or features that streamline the onboarding of new users. We also see opportunities to use AI to enrich the app functionally. **Job Details:** With the Veggie Challenge app, we educate participants about the many benefits of plant-based eating. The app supports users with tips, recipes, and coaching. Participants in the challenge can track their diet and earn rewards such as badges and challenging recipes. As a back end developer for the Veggie Challenge App, you play a crucial role in creating a seamless and engaging user experience, laying the technical foundation for features such as tracking progress during the challenge and earning rewards. As a member of our app team, consisting of two other developers and a designer, you are the driving force behind the development of new functionalities and maintaining existing features. Another important task is setting up a new data warehouse to better manage and analyze the various data streams within our applications, generating valuable insights and improving our user experience. Due to ProVeg being a relatively small organization, you also have regular contact with other team members and stakeholders of ProVeg International, providing support where needed. Your input and expertise are appreciated in decision-making and strategic planning. Additionally, you are a proactive thinker when it comes to product development, sharing ideas and suggestions to improve and innovate our app, always seeking ways to optimize the user experience and increase our impact.

**Responsibilities:**

• Your skills:
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Minimum 2 years of NodeJS experience
• Experience in back end development, testing, and implementing applications in the cloud
• Experience with Google Cloud is a plus
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and version control

**Qualifications:** We are looking for you if you are motivated to contribute to the protein transition and promote plant-based eating. Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment and adapting quickly to changing priorities. Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in software development or have worked at this level and are based within the EU, ideally in the Netherlands.

**Location:** ProVeg Nederland team works in a hybrid setup from home and the office in Utrecht.
