Job Summary
This role will provide analysis and implementation support for both projects and ongoing operations of NRG's Home Protection and Allied Home Warranty businesses. The role offers the opportunity to view the big picture of NRG's Home Protection and Allied Home Warranty business operations and strategy, as well as develop specialized knowledge in specific areas. This role is responsible for liaising with Finance, IT, Strategy, and Operations to accomplish results for NRG's Home Protection and Allied Home Warranty businesses. Successful team members demonstrate skills to effectively address issues across multiple functional groups. A high degree of initiative and capability to work independently and cross-functionally is a required aspect of this job, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models that forecast sales, churn, retention, and associated profit and loss and cash implications.
- Work closely with Home Protection leadership team to determine appropriate modeling assumptions and structuring for monthly BAU forecasts and growth initiatives.
- Responsible for ensuring that all assumptions and modeling are reasonable and accurate.
- Perform analysis to determine present/future financial performance, returns, and cash impacts.
- Understand, analyze, and report on actuals with monthly variance analyses.
- Assist in the development of standardized reporting of key performance indicators that will be reported in monthly scorecards.
- Research technical issues as needed related to primary job responsibilities.
- Responsible for working with service provider for State Regulatory licensing renewals, including but not limited to coordination with HP Management, Legal, Accounting to ensure accurate completion of forms.
- Maintain a repository of historical filings and logins for each State.
- Maintain Officer bios as required for State Regulatory filings.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
- Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of independence, effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from accredited four-year college or university required.
- Industry-specific work experience may substitute for educational requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years in an Operations or Finance Analyst role required, 3 years preferred.
- Strong sense of ownership, ethics, and drive.
- Works independently by taking initiative, maintaining organization, and being self-motivated.
- Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented individual who takes pride in ensuring accuracy.
- Excels in quickly conceptualizing and assimilating data to make decisions and take appropriate action.
- Good written skills to document processes, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision, yet work well in a team-oriented culture.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
