About Project Pressure

Company stage: Other

Since 2008, Project Pressure, founded by explorer and photographer Klaus Thymann, has been using art to communicate climate change; drawing attention to collapse occurring on timelines beyond our frenetic news cycles, along with the human stories at the frontlines of the crisis. This charity is collaborating with world-renowned artists creating and exhibiting work to engage emotions to incite climate action. Project Pressure has forged partnerships with World Glacier Monitoring Service and NASA among others. Further recognition and funding have come from prestigious beneficiaries including The Queen of Denmark, Arts Council England, the Swiss Environmental Ministry and Hasselblad. In 2019 Project Pressure installed large-scale projections covering the outside of the UN with images of a massive iceberg, set the scene for the voices of six young advocates including Swedish student activist Greta Thunberg.
